Daintree National Park, Australia
Light and shapes play a big part in how I compose my photographs. This shot was taken deep in the tropics of northeastern Australia and what I love about it is the way that the light that’s broken through the foliage above has added highlights here and there almost like a painter did it with his brush. The creek also reflects the light in a way that catches the eye and provides a starting point for taking in the whole scene. I can still remember how peaceful this moment was and I think this photograph conveys that peace.
